GOTHAM GIRLS AT DANNY'S |

Tracy Silvia and Pamela Palmieri are so full of energy and excitement, they just about cracked the skylight in the ceiling at DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM (342 West 46th Street, NYC - 1-212-265-8133 http://www.dannysgrandseapalace.com/) when I saw them perform as "The Gotham Girls" last Sunday afternoon. It’s a show about friendship, and this sassy, sparky pair bounce around the stage in a non-stop show of song and jest. With an occasional ballad to allow all of us to catch our breath, and a charming trio that included musical director Jerry Scott, the show is hopefully just the first of a number of great "Gotham Girls" shows to come. There's a disco medley (Mr. Scott is an expert at making a piano sound like an entire band), and a friendship medley that covers the subject with just about every friendship song written. Both performers act and sing in perfect harmony, in a fast-paced hour of true entertainment. "The Gotham Girls" (Tracy Silvia and Pamela Palmieri) will return to DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM (342 West 46th Street, NYC - 1-212-265-8133 - http://www.dannysgrandseapalace.com/) have one performance of "Take Two!" (the duet show) on Friday, October 10th at 7:00 pm. Cover is $10 ($5 CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE members), with a $10 minimum. Go - you will be amazed and entertained. - from Cabaret Hotline Online #031003 – Thursday, October 9. 2003 |
